Family Strengthening Certificate Program
Strategies 2.0 is pleased to offer certification in family strengthening for those individuals who complete all components of the Family Strengthening Certificate within 24 months. The course components—indicated in the attached flier-may be taken separately as they are offered, or in a group-based approach. The course is intended for frontline staff who interact one-on-one with families in their daily work and have been active in the field for less than 3 years.
In addition to the 7 classes listed above, the certificate program requires the completion of the final reflection, an online module that is estimated to take 30 minutes to complete. Participants take on the role of a family strengthening worker and make choices as they conduct a virtual dialog with a parent, focusing on using change talk strategies and building protective factors. The Family Strengthening Certificate will be issued after all 8 courses, the final reflection, and evaluation are completed.
We also strongly encourage managers, supervisors and/or other interested leaders in attending the Family Strengthening for Supervisors session to better understand the courses components and its connection to family strengthening work. This session will be held on 3/25/20 at First 5 of San Bernardino County 735 E. Carnegie Drive, Suite 150, San Bernardino, CA 92408.

Please sign up for each course through the Strategies 2.0 website. Instruction on how to register are included in the attachments. Once you have signed up for your courses, please click on dashboard. You should see Foundations for Practice under enrollments. Please complete this online courses before your first session.
