Capital Learning Community: Building Engaging, Inclusive Organizations

Capital Learning Community Convening: 10:00am-1:30pmon Tuesday December 10,  2019, in Sacramento and online.

Engaging with communities builds leadership, transfers knowledge, and resources from community to organizations and vice versa. Different approaches are appropriate for each community, but meaningfully connecting with community will draw out deeper perspectives and voices from those who have a stake in the organization’s work and ultimately improve services and programs to those we seek to serve.

Targeted outcomes for the day include:

  • To better understand how your organization has stayed relevant and responsive to community needs.
  • To help you assess your organization’s capacity and ability to meet the ongoing needs of our communities in the current environment.
  • Learn and share strategies to build community engagement and trust  to increase access/awareness of services in increasingly multicultural communities.

Guest Speaker: Lucy Hernandez, Director and Strategies 2.0 Consultant; Glenn, Colusa, Trinity County Community Action Partnership
