Structural Oppression is Trauma: Resources from the Resilient Sacramento Best Practices Presentation

During 2018, Resilient Sacramento will hold four community meetings featuring best practices in trauma informed practices and resilience building strategies. Steering committee member Kristina Gelardi has volunteered to plan each of these presentations.

Our June meeting focused on best practices in broadening the trauma lens to include structural oppression. Kristina and fellow steering committee member Donielle Prince co-facilitated the session.

Meeting notes will be posted, however, participants were eager to get copies of the resources discussed in the meeting.

Find all of these great resources attached to this post. We look forward to hearing how Resilient Sacramento members are incorporating these practices in their own organizations, as well as brainstorming how we can continue to embed this lens in our collaborative work together.

We will create a bookmark "widget" with these resources, and continue to add to the list. This bookmark will be on the Resilient Sacramento home page, for quick reference.

Let us know in the comments about any other resources we can add!
