Sacramento Youth at City Council

There is no more important task than the development of an informed, effective, and responsible citizenry – The purpose of the Youth @ City Council Program is to provide the youth of Sacramento with an opportunity to develop social advocacy skills through civic engagement and learning. It is a call to action for young people to understand the impact of their voice in their neighbourhoods’ and communities.

Please pass this flier on to any young person who you believe or think this program is within their interest, as well as your perspective groups that your all involved in. All students will go through an 30 minute interview , made up of different community members on the panel. Interviews will take place the week of the 11th – 15th of January 2016. Once the student emails me that they are interested In participating , I will email them back the time and day of the interview. There is no criteria , only that the student are within 8th – 12th  grade. Another frequent question is where is the program located , at City Hall downtown. Transportation not provided , but always willing to work with the young people. Attached is a flier that you can share, last but not least I am accepting up to 25 young people. Thank you
