Sacramento County DA Youth Academy - Opportunity for area high school students

Sacramento County DA Youth Academy

The Rancho Cordova Police Department encourages area high school students to apply for this year's Youth Academy. Students will learn about the criminal justice system and engage in open communication between law enforcement and themselves concerning issues that affect youth today - including race as a factor in the criminal justice system, use of force, gun violence, gangs, dating violence, human trafficking, marijuana, crime scene investigation and evidence, and distracted driving. A career fair will be held at graduation.

The program is open to current Sacramento County high school students (incoming 10th through 12th graders). Eligible students can apply for either the South, North, or East Area academy. They must submit a completed application, which can be downloaded at www.sacda.org. The deadline to apply is September 16, 2016. For questions, please email YouthPrograms@sacda.org. For questions, please email YouthPrograms@sacda.org.
