Community Response to ICE in Sacramento

The Sacramento Immigration Coalition launched the Rapid Response phone number last Thursday at a press conference in front of the Sheriff's office. This phone number is for people to report ICE activity in the Sacramento region so that legal observers can be dispatched to document how ICE is treating people, follow up with the families that were affected by a raid, and hopefully connect folks to legal services if anyone is put into deportation proceedings.  We are always looking for more volunteers to be legal observers!

SIC is also organizing Know Your Rights presentations throughout Sacramento. If you know of any groups who might be interested, or a community space where people affected by immigration policies would feel safe, we can help organize a KYR training.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Molly Reagh at (707) 953-0924 or molly.reagh@gmail.com for more information.
