Community Health Worker (CHW) Program: Funding Available to Employers Willing to Hire CHWs! Accepting Applications through November 5th

GCACH is excited to announce that the first cohort of 14 Community Health Workers (CHWs) have been trained and working for our partnering providers.  They have completed trainings on topics including the Department of Health Core Competency training, Trauma Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing.

GCACH seeking to support organizations willing to provide CHW internships.  GCACH has funding for another cohort of 5 more CHWs that will start in January 2022.  This is an 18-month program and funding will available in amounts of $50,000 per award. CHWs play a critical role in improving the health of their communities, and linking diverse and underserved populations to health and social service systems.

Applications are being accepted through November 5, 2021, with the second cohort starting in January 2022.

If your organization is accepted and need help, GCACH can work with your organization and the WorkSource in your area to help find the right candidate.
