Actually, FBI statistics don't bear this out. I have other issues with the stats used by the author, and I'll get back to those. I'll also post the WaPo article that states that gun violence is way down from the 90s. Hard to believe, isn't it? And, guns aren't violent. People are. I would rather see alongside how we could have better gun control, how we, especially as ACE advocates, can work and make system change so that hurt people, don't hurt people. Rather, they can find a path to healing.

Californians have experienced an alarming epidemic of adverse childhood experiences. Between 2011 and 2017, 60 percent of Californians reported experiencing at least one type of childhood adversity; about 16 percent experienced four or more.
