The NC Mini-Conference #2: The Ripple Effect of Trauma was a powerful 2 hour training with over 125 folks participating from all over the State of North Carolina gathering together to learn about trauma-informed practices through a racial equity lens.

A number of presenters shared including information about how trauma impacts the biology of the nervous system sharing the example of how we respond if we see a snake and then when we perceive a snake, our bodies respond the same way due to our biology.

Stephanie Terry, spoke about the intergenerational impacts and implications of structural racism and its impact on BIPOC individuals and communities.

For the full 2 hour conference, I invite you to watch the video that is attached.
