Just watched this and loved it. I so appreciate Dr Elbers' point that stress hormone dysregulation underlies most of the health issues we docs see in our practices; this was the epiphany that hit me 5 years ago when I started screening for ACEs. I bought a Heart Math device a year ago and got into it for a while, but then stopped. I absolutely agree with its benefits and it's such a simple intervention. I'm going to start introducing it to the patients I serve and ask if they want to try it out.

Thank you for this suggestion, Heidi. I send these out to our TIHCER (Trauma Informed Health Care Education and Research) group via Outlook invitations so there is limited space for that. Then we just repost on PACES Connection. But I realize that we need to do a better job of spelling things out, especially as we are broadening our audience.
