CA 3rd Annual API Mental Health Empowerment Conference in Fresno County

The purpose of the annual Asian & Pacific Islander Mental Health Empowerment Conference (APIMHEC) is to increase awareness of mental health concerns and to promote improvement of mental health services for Asian & Pacific Islander (API) communities.

The 2019 APIMHEC Conference will be hosted by Fresno County's Department of Behavioral Health at Clovis Veteran's Memorial District. This conference will convene mental health service providers, consumers, family members, students, researchers, and advocates from within Fresno County and across California.

It will be on November 21-22. The theme is Action For Wellness: The Power Of  Legislation.

This is a no cost conference, and registration is open. Info can be found at www.apimhec.org. While API is the focus, this is not limited to API but anyone who works and/or serves API community members, who wants to work to address health equity, and/or who may also be interested in the theme of how to use legislation to promote wellness.

There is also a call for presenters:  https://www.apimhec.org/copy-o...-for-presentations-r
