PACE Task Force of Shelby County (TN)

We raise community awareness about the role of trauma in health - mental, physical and behavioral - and to create an innovative paradigm shift in the medical system. This will be carried out through the creation of warm, accessible and inviting parenting sites that create relationships to help families prevent and intervene early in the trauma affecting their children.

Addressing ACES - A Call to Action

Nearly 700 members of our community gathered in Blountville, Tennessee last week for the inaugural Addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) Summit.This call to action provided inspiration and education for professionals to take the next steps toward implementing trauma informed programming in their specific service areas. Becky. What an all star cast. Congratulations.

Jim Henry, Mary Rolando and I met with Senator Alexander and Jordan Hynes. . He committed to having his HELP staff get briefed on trauma initiatives in Tennessee when they all go down there during the August recess. Will let you know the details as soon as I hear from Jordan.
