Lancaster County ACEs & Resilience Connection (PA)

Working collaboratively with schools, business, healthcare, government agencies, social services, criminal justice systems, healthcare organizations & faith communities to become a trauma-informed community. We invite all concerned citizens, professionals & advocates to partner with us to raise awareness about trauma & its effects, to build resilience, and offer hope & healing.

May is Mental Health & Trauma Awareness Month

 
The month of May is “Mental Health and Trauma Awareness Month” and May 25th has 
designated as “Trauma Awareness Day”. On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, local leaders from Lancaster-Lebanon IU13, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, HDC MidAtlantic, Touchstone Foundation, Mental Health America of Lancaster County, and Lancaster County Behavioral Health ad Developmental Services offered perspectives on the importance of supporting mental well-being and resilience at the Lancaster County Commissioners' public meeting. After their presentations, the Commissioners issued a formal proclamation.
