Greater Kanawha Valley Community of ACEs Coalition of WV

The Greater Kanawha Valley Community of ACEs Coalition of West Virginia is comprised of many different organizations and individuals working together to improve the health and well-being of all West Virginians by reducing the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and preventing their occurrence.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Greater Kanawha Valley Community of ACEs Coalition of West Virginia!

This community is a place where people living and working in the Greater Kanawha Valley can come together to: help prevent traumatic events and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs); promote Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs); and create a healthier, happier community.

This group is made strong by the involvement and active participation of all of us! Let's use this space to promote collaboration among community members seeking to prevent, protect against, and help families heal from the impact of trauma.

Please share information about trauma, it's possible effects, and how we can promote strong relationships that help build resilience in the Greater Kanawha Valley and beyond.  This includes articles, studies, reports, and information about local events and initiatives.

Through this community, we will learn from each other about PACE-related work in the Valley, broader PACEs-related topics, and build cross-sector awareness of existing statewide and community-level efforts.

We invite you to post blogs and "Ask the Community" posts on any topic that advances this mission.

If you are aware of an event, please add it to the community calendar, so we can spread the word.  If you host a training or presentation, please add it to the community's presentation tracker or let our community manager @Bobbie Spry know, and she'll add it for you.  This will help us build a robust tool so individuals and organizations can find trainers that meet their needs.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
