The School Crisis Recovery and Renewal (SCRR) project is pleased to offer a half-day virtual institute for educators centered on sharing and learning recovery and renewal best practices after a crisis event through art and rituals. Each workshop will feature a community lead and evidence-based strategies that promote individual and community healing in the classroom and beyond.

Institute Goals

  1. Create a safe, generative, and regulating experience for educators, school-based mental health providers, and people who tend to the emotional wellbeing of youth.
  2. Engage participants in evidence based, art centered, ritual activities that positively impact the process of recovery and renewal after a crisis.
  3. Support participants in imagining new ways to incorporate ritual and art into their personal practice and larger learning communities when recovering from crisis.
  4. Facilitate an opportunity for school professionals to build community with one another through the sharing of wisdom and lived experience related to recovery and renewal.

Who Is This For?

School based professionals including instructors, administrators, community-based organizations/school partners, caregivers, and you!
