Re: An ACES Presentation as a Sermon
Two more questions, if you will indulge me? -- 1) Do you have a "completed" edition of Slide #40 (or a summary "completion")? -- 2) What is the Kauffman 2016 source which you reference on page 9 in the "script"?

Re: An ACES Presentation as a Sermon
Daun, it seems that my reference to Kauffman, 2016 came from this internet page - https://www.youthranch.org/edu...onal-impacts-of-aces It's clear to me now that the complete reference is not included. And I see you may be the referenced author. Do you have an accurate reference source that should be used? And attached is a PPT slide with a completed table of Biblical Principles for Risk Factors.

Re: An ACES Presentation as a Sermon
Dale, Thank you so much for the Principles portion of slide 40! (and the notes). You have been exceedingly helpful and I appreciate it. The reference MAY be to me for something I wrote on my internet site "LucidWitness.com" in August 2016, Titled "Nowhere to Hide: The Elephant in the [Class]room" (Daun Kauffman). I was curious (but not certain) because it seemed so close to home. Thank you again. Daun

Your sermon was wonderful and SPOT on Aaron. Well done! We all need the love of Jesus to be extended to us through the relationships we have with others.

Resilience for Children & Families: Being Brave When Things are Hard

Baby courts: A proven approach to stop the multigenerational transmission of ACES in child welfare; new efforts to establish courts nationwide
The organization Zero To Three estimates that in the U.S., a child is taken into the child welfare system every six seconds. “Many of society’s most intractable problems can be traced back to childhood adversity. Being in the child welfare system increases the likelihood of more adversity and criminality. Baby court is a proven approach to healing the trauma of both child and parent, and breaking the cycle of maltreatment,” says Mimi Graham, Ed.D ., director of the Florida State University...

New devotional book, Hope for Healing, seeks to give trauma-informed ministry insight
I am proud/relieved/gratified at finally being able to share a labor of love with the "PACES" community. It has been a struggle, the book project--yes, but just life and ministry in general have been hard over the past year. My family and I, personally, continue to walk the path of navigating all the complexities that come from trauma and working through that trauma in the context of ministry. I understand that many of you are in the same situation and can understand. The book, Hope for...

Parenting to Prevent & Heal ACEs Handout

Donna's book specifically addresses those of us parenting with ACEs (which she also does brilliantly in the powerful documentary, Wrestling Ghosts , which is about parenting and healing from ACEs). This handout can be downloaded, distributed, and used freely. It is...
