An elders PACES interest group is very important. First because frail elders are often taken advantage of, even abused. Second because many people who had abusive trauma as children are not able to deal with it until they have the perspective of age. Third because some elderly diagnosed in the standard DSM way may not have mental illness or dementia, but be suffering the symptoms of child abuse trauma.
