Register now! North Carolina Resilience Peer Connection August 18th from Noon – 1:00

Dear NC partners,

Over the past couple of years, by survey and multiple conversations and meetings, we have asked those of you on the ground doing the important work of bringing communities together to prevent and address ACEs what you need to enhance the good work you’re doing.  By far, the desire to connect with peers doing similar work has risen to the top as the #1 priority/desire that you and your colleagues wanted us to address and provide.

We are excited to announce the first gathering of the NC Resilience Peer Connection to take place on August 18th from Noon – 1:00!  With valuable input to plan this event from the Community Advisory Council of the NC Healthy & Resilient Communities Initiative, we together are pleased to share this invitation.

Who:  Anyone involved/participating in a NC coalition/collaborative working on ACEs and Trauma-informed communities

Where:  Online: https://smartstart.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYufuCqqDkqE9DBQqJfsFDWuLJ6WPlUM-tc

Registration is required. The link will take you to a brief registration page.

When:  Wednesday, August 18th, Noon-1pm

What:  A gathering to share ideas, make valuable connections, celebrate wins and problem solve together as we, North Carolina’s community collaboratives, work to create trauma-informed communities to prevent and address ACEs.  Breakout groups will be utilized for opportunities to share and listen in small groups and to gather information about what you’d like to see in future gatherings.

Why:  Through the 2020 Community Surveys, conversations at the 2021 NC Resilient Communities Conference and other outreach, you have asked for this. Connections build strength and support for this important and ground-breaking systems-change work and build resilience among our organizations.

Please pass along this invitation to others in your resilience collaborative/initiative who might be interested.
