Extension: November Offerings

About once a month, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Eau Claire County shares Extension and non-Extension resources with the community to support family stability and community resilience. Below are some happenings that may be of interest to you.

  • Extension Eau Claire County has been playing a collaborative storytelling game called "From 10 to 25," which builds awareness around what adolescence is and what is needed to thrive. Interested in having us facilitate this for your team and/or picking up a deck of cards to play? Please reach out to Yia (yia.lor@wisc.edu). If you are not from Eau Claire County, you can request your own decks through the website linked above.
  • There are still workbooks and journals available for the self-study version of WeCOPE, an evidence-based program that helps adults reduce stress. Register here and pick up materials from Extension Eau Claire County or Altoona Public Library. Can't pick up materials? No worries! Registering gives you access to the electronic version of the workbook, and you can use a notebook for journaling.
  • Save the date! Extension is hosting the Raising Wisconsin Children Conference on Thursday, January 13th from 6-8pm and Saturday, January 15th from 9-11:30am. Topics range from families and technology, fatherhood, race-conscious parenting, and more.
  • Extension received a final batch of Feelings Thermometer magnets from Wisconsin's Office of Children's Mental Health. More information on this resource here. Extension Eau Claire County has magnets and instructional flyers available in English, Spanish, and HMoob. Reach out to Yia if you'd like to pick some up. You can also go on the website to print your own thermometers and instructional flyers.
  • UW-Madison hosted its Diversity Forum "Rising Above and Reshaping Our World in the Image of Justice," and it was fantastic! Missed it? No worries! Replays can be found here.

Thank you for your partnership as we work together to improve lives and communities in Eau Claire County and across the state of Wisconsin!
