PACEs Connection's interactive three-part series on exploring the intersection of utilizing PACEs science to impact criminal justice through our PACEs Connection communities!  This course will be facilitated by Dr. Porter Jennings-McGarity, Director of CQI & Criminal Justice Consultant, and will be a combination of sharing, learning by example, exploration with your fellow community members, consensus building, brainstorming, and collaboration.  Registration for this course is now open for members of the PACEs Connection Cooperative of Communities and their entire network!


Title:  “Restorative Justice: What’s Next”
When: June 23, 2022, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm EST (includes a 30 min break)

Description: This event is the first in an interactive 3-part series that is designed to enhance understanding of what the restorative justice movement is, why this movement is needed, and ideas for implementing restorative justice practices across organization and program settings.

  • The foundations of restorative justice
  • The relationship between trauma and restorative justice
  • Restorative justice practice
  • The future of the restorative justice movement

Title: “Restorative Justice Across System Levels”
When: October 13, 2022, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm EST (includes a 30 min break)

Description: This event is the second in an interactive 3-part series that is designed to enhance understanding of what the restorative justice movement is, why this movement is needed, and ideas for implementing restorative justice practices across organization and program settings. We will discuss the following:

  • Conceptualizations of restorative justice models
  • Exploration of systemic inequality and restorative justice
  • Restorative justice across system levels

When: March 30, 2023, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm EST (includes a 30 min break)

Description: This event is the third in an interactive 3-part series that is designed to enhance understanding of what the restorative justice movement is, why this movement is needed, and ideas for implementing restorative justice practices across organization and program settings. We will discuss the following:

  • Restorative justice practices and your organization
  • How to implement restorative justice practices across system levels
  • Overcoming barriers and challenges to implementing restorative justice practices
