NEW: 2018-19 California County Scorecard of Children's Well-Being

Children Now is pleased to announce that we've just released our new 2018-19 California County Scorecard of Children's Well-Being! The latest edition is an interactive tool that provides a comprehensive snapshot of how children are faring in each of the 58 counties, over time, and by race and ethnicity. The tool's indicators cut across four domains of education, early childhood, child welfare and health.

This updated edition of the Scorecard features significant enhancements including heat maps for each indicator. This new feature will enable users to better make comparisons across counties and regions.

The tool provides a valuable overview of children's well-being in each county, and how counties compare regionally and statewide. This data provides valuable insight on children's early childhood, health, education and welfare, and can help drive informed local decision-making. We hope that the tool is especially useful for local partners who are on the ground, doing their best to make sure community resources are wisely invested in kids. We welcome your questions and feedback on the tool to inform future iterations of the Scorecard. We want to ensure you can really USE this data on behalf of the children in your community.

To that end, Children Now is hosting a webinar to dive deeper into the Scorecard on October 30, from 11am to 12pm. Join us by registering here. For any questions or comments, please contact research@childrennow.org
