California Tax Credits Resources

Please consider sharing the Earned Income Tax Credit Toolkit and social media materials developed by the California Department of Public Health, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Division (CDPH/MCAH).

This toolkit and social media materials are intended for use by local agencies to promote California’s tax credits including the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC), the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit, and the Federal Child Tax Credit. These tax credits are available for families earning under $30,000 per year, including those without a Social Security Number but who may have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). The CalEITC offers up to $3,417 cash back or a reduction of owed taxes to qualified individuals who apply. Additional information and answers to frequently asked question is available on MCAH’s website here.

Please consider sharing this toolkit and the attached one-pager with your networks and thank you for your partnership and efforts to improve child wellbeing in California.
