Fresno Metro Ministry

Fresno is the 3rd highest food hardship county in the U.S., and needs a local Food
Policy Council that will bring community members, institutions and businesses
together; promote the social, economic and environmental health of the local food
system; and support a variety of positive interrelated, and inclusive food and
agriculture policies and programs. This local Food Policy Council development
strategy has 6 workgroups: Healthy Food Access, Food Waste Prevention, Economic
Development, Emergency Hunger Relief, Transportation, Land Use, Government
Regulation, and Evaluation (attached find the full draft report).

We would like to embed trauma informed practices and policies into the work of the Food Policy Council. Are there any other groups out there that have integrated a trauma informed approach to Food Policy work?  If so, please share!
