California PACEs Action

Hello:
I'm a recent MPH graduate who is interested in working on ACEs. The more I learn about the effects of trauma and chronic stress, the more it changes my worldview and makes me want to do something about it. Part of the reason why I moved to California in 2019 was to get involved in the incredible work that you're doing around ACEs.
I'm currently living in Sacramento and working in contact tracing, but would appreciate any advice that you can offer to help me find a career path in the field of ACEs. I'm interested in doing both paid and unpaid volunteer work. Also, I'm willing to relocate.
Please contact me if you're able to provide any advice by a phone/Zoom call, to talk career strategy, or if you'd like to send any job/volunteer opportunities my way. Your help is appreciated!!

(I've heard that including photos often increases response rates). I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

I wish I had a clear answer for you, Kevin! I'm a new private practice therapist, after working for 18 years in public mental health. Maybe this comment will help boost your question for others to see. I do know that the CalWORKs Association is doing advocacy work in this area:  https://calworksassociation.org/  For now, keep asking the question and learning all you can about ACEs. I'm sure the right opportunity will find you. 😊
