Partners Health Management Spotlight

Without the efforts of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, the work of the Standardized Assessment Protocol (SAP) would not be possible. SAP is proud to be aligned with Partners Health Management—the Local Management Entity-Managed Care Organization (or LME-MCO) for four of the six counties SAP is working with.

Partners works diligently to manage services for the behavioral health care needs of those who reside in Burke, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rutherford, Surry, and Yadkin counties and are covered by Medicaid, state health insurance, or those without health insurance. Individuals within the Partners catchment can rest assured knowing the providers in network meet strict standards for the services they offer. Partners offers services for consumers with Mental Health concerns, Substance Use Disorders, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. The services range from peer support to assistance in transitioning to community living! Partners has also been a long-time advocate for trauma-informed service provision, encouraging providers to provide trauma-informed and evidence-based services to clients. Additionally, Partners has been in support of the Trauma Intensive Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (or TiCCA) processes since Partnering for Excellence (PFE) started in Cleveland county—that support has only grown as Benchmarks has expanded the PFE and SAP projects.

Within the SAP project, Partners’ representatives attend our monthly Leadership Team Meetings and serve as a contact for any questions, concerns, and trailblazing needed for billing. In addition to attending meetings and acting as a point of contact, several of the Partners employees are trained in and assist with the NCTSN’s Trauma 101 Training, ensuring that DSSes involved in the SAP project are educated in the most up-to-date standards from trauma-informed care.

The Standardized Assessment Protocol Team, and more importantly—the children who receive services that are managed by Partners, have seen firsthand the benefits of working with a well-organized and trauma-informed LME-MCO. We at SAP are excited to see where this joint venture continues to take us!
