I’ve started a petition, it’s to the Government of Alberta and it’s called Trauma & Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)— Prevention and Helping Survivors.
Many studies on ACEs have been conducted over the decades, including studies by the CDC and WHO. Individuals with a high ACE score are statistically at greater risk of mental and physical ill health, shorter lifespan and suicide, addiction, homelessness, family violence, bullying, crime, and lower education and employment. The petition also aims to help through education about abusive relationships and coercive control.
