National Child Abuse Prevention Month!

National Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to acknowledge the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families.

The Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) encourages everyone to support children in their communities by prioritizing families in Tulare County. During the month of April and throughout the year, we encourage you to host a training, set up a visual display, or host a public awareness event with the goal of preventing child abuse and neglect.

You can make a difference by:

- Planting a pinwheel garden to raise awareness

- Wearing blue lapel ribbons all month long

 - Displaying blue ribbon trees and lawn signs

- Holding an open house and inviting the community to learn what     they can do to prevent child abuse

- Organize a fundraiser to support child abuse prevention efforts.

 - Host The Lisa Project at your site!
