ACES/Resilience Surveys w/Parents

McKinley McPheeters ·
Hello all, I work at an Early Learning Center and we will be presenting on ACES and Resilience to the parents of preschoolers. One of the aspects we have debated is when to offer them the ACES and Resilience surveys. However, after reading https://www.acesconnection.com/blog/putting-resilience-and-resilience-surveys-under-the-microscope I am wondering what purpose it would ultimately serve (and what unintended consequences it may have) to give parents the surveys. It would be optional, and...

ACEs scores for early childhood educators

Emily Jackson ·
Hello! New to this community. Wondering if anyone has run across research or data regarding ACEs scores for early childhood educators? I am hosting a NC preschool expulsion and suspension summit in late April and thought this would be helpful information to share. Thanks for your help!

Can Trauma-Informed Mermaids Help Children & Families? (New Kids Book Series)

I would greatly value hearing the feedback of the ACEs community on...

If you shared in this way on the main page, you’d get more views and responses. We welcome ACEs Connection members posting on our home page! Fingers crossed! Karen

Following the ACEs questionnaire with a resilience questionnaire helps folks see their ACEs and what provided them with resilience - and that can be a springboard for a wider conversation that could include...

Hi Karen, Thank you for the thoughts and reassurance! We have had so much hesitance about bringing this to parents and doing it "right" and it is helpful to have the more seasoned perspectives!

Hello. I would love to talk with you about that data that has been collected in Chatham County around this, as well as the summit you are hosting in April. Where are you in NC? My email is LKehle@kidscope.chtop.org .

I would complete an ACES questionnaire for you. I am sure if you ask other early childhood professionals they would share their scores too!

Hello Holly That is very nice of your to offer but I was hoping to find the data already collected. Perhaps it is something I work to collect in the future. Thanks again!
