This course will introduce you to and familiarizes you with the wonderfully effective principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention. TBRI® is a map of relationship principles designed to help parents and caretakers build healthy relationships with their children from hard places. It uses Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting Principles to help you address your child’s complex physical and attachment needs, while disarming fear-based behaviors that were developed during adverse experiences.
This is a great tool not just for parents, caretaker and teachers of children from hard places, but also for those of us who parent, teach or volunteer with typical children, teens or even young adults. It’s all about connection! We are created in relationship and for relationship, which means healthy transformation of the mind can only happen through relationship! Being trauma-informed helps to equip you to enter into and continue to grow healthy relationships with children and young people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences. We teach about ACE's. resilience is built through relationships
