DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ANIMAL CRUELTY… IS THERE A CONNECTION?

In partnership with Evelyn Herrera-Jackson Outreach Services Director Help Now of Osceola.

This training will explore the common thread that exists between Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and abuse toward animals. Participants will be provided with insights into the characteristics of animal abusers and animal abuse, red flags that happen with both IPV and animal cruelty, and animal abuse as a tactic of coercive control in IPV.

Presentation will explore connections of animal cruelty and IPV, Elder Abuse and Child Maltreatment. Healthy tips toward maintaining healthy home environments free from abuse will be discussed and local resources will be shared.
