Children's Advocacy Center: "Preview of Project FORECAST" Training

Hosted by Central Florida's Children's Advocacy Center, "Project FORECAST" is a unique educational experience that’s designed to aid professionals make better decisions in situations involving childhood trauma. Our interactive trainings simulate real-world scenarios and can better prepare participants for the complex challenges of trauma-informed care.

Participants who attend a "Project FORECAST" simulation can expect increased engagement in the learning process, better outcomes at work, higher staff retention, and improved Trauma-Informed Experiential Reasoning Skills (TIERS). Plus, the innumerable benefits of better helping children impacted by trauma and abuse. Participants will also learn:

  • The 12 Core Concepts for Understanding Traumatic Stress Responses in Childhood
  • Trauma Informed Experiential Reasoning Skills (TIERS)
  • Problem Based Learning-Simulations (PBL-S)
  • National Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards
