Coping with a Child’s Injury & Illness: Resources for Families (click on link to register)

  • Presenters: Kimberly Canter, PhD; Katie Holcomb; and Rebecca Bodan, FNP PhD

This presentation will speak directly to the experiences and needs of patients and families affected by injury and illness. Attendees will learn about pediatric medical traumatic stress and the signs and symptoms to look out for in their loved ones. Coping and advocacy skills, as well as caregiver resources, will also be shared.

Each presentation will offer free continuing education credits to the following groups: dentists; dietitians, nurses (including APRNs and with the opportunity to receive trauma hours); MDs (CMEs); physician assistants; pharmacists; psychologists; and social workers. Attendees from other disciplines who wish to claim hours independently can request a certificate as well.
