[Announcement] 3 Part-Series on ACEs from "Terrible, Thanks for Asking" (Podcast) [ttfa.org]

'Terrible, Thanks for Asking' the award winning podcast hosted by Nora McInerny and produced by American Public Media (AMP), challenges real people to candidly discuss their feelings. Beginning November 5, 2019 'Terrible, Thanks for Asking' will be asking guests to share the experiences and challenges they encountered while growing up with ACEs.

With the knowledge that adversity and trauma has harmful implications later in life, discussions on the podcast will include how the cycle of adversity and trauma can be halted. Exploration of adversity and trauma prevention strategies will include questions such as, "As a parent, teacher, or mentor, how can you build protective factors to guard against ACEs?, How can you spot a child experiencing ACEs? and What tools will you need [to prevent ACEs]? (AMP Staff). Podcast episodes will also feature health professionals who can opine on the biological and psychological implications of ACEs.

This is a 3-part series. Episodes will air on November 5, 12, and 19. You can listen for free on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, or on any podcast platform. Funding for the series is provided by the Sauer Family Foundation and St. David's Center for Child and Family Development.
