After reading this post, it’s truly the first time I’ve ever been able to properly “label” some of my experiences within the workplace. It makes me look deeper into things of past and present with hopes of not feeling overwhelmed by the affirmation of EXACTLY what it is. I’m also hopeful that more conversations such as this can be brought to the forefront

Thank you for your comment @Jalila Brunson . I plan to post more about microaggressions in the coming days. There are so many different types, and we have to educate ourselves first in order to combat them and educate our allies on how to do so as well.
