Inspiring Healthy Futures Initiative Launched in Canada

Over the past number of months, a collaborative of organizations in Canada has been undertaking an initiative they have called Inspiring Health Futures.

It was inspired by the results of the 2020 Unicef Report on the well being status of children around the world. Canada ranked 30 / 38 countries and although this may seem shocking to some of us, many of us know the huge pressures many of our children live under, especially considering the rates of racism, poverty, and substance use disorders in our society, not to mention Covid 19.

I encourage each of us to explore how we can participate in this initiative to increase the well being of all our children in Canada.

To start, we must insist that First Nations children have access to clean water and equal access to government services through the full implementation of Jordan's Principle.

Please visit https://www.inspiringhealthyfutures.ca/ and choose an action you can take to move the dial for Canada's kids.

Follow the initiative on social media #WeCANforKids #InspiringHealthyFutures

We have the power to influence policy change, when we collaborate.

Let's do our part.

Disclosure: I am not affiliated with this initiative. However, I do support it and promote it because it is one initiative we can all work on together and pool our efforts to ultimately reduce #ACEs and increase #PCEs for our children, whether or not we're talking that language specifically. I hope you will join me in supporting this work.
