All Children Excel (ACE) Nashville (TN)

The mission of ACE Nashville is to prevent and mitigate the lifelong impact of childhood adversity to improve the safety, health and prosperity of our community. Our vision is for Nashville, and Tennessee, to be a safe, stable, and nurturing community for all.

Join ACE Nashville's Partners at VUMC Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools The 9th Annual Barbara Gay Lecture: Responding to Childhood Trauma to Facilitate Posttraumatic Growth

This presentation will focus on a framework for understanding how traumatic events can lead to positive change. The different types of posttraumatic growth will be explored, along with how this process occurs. Using case examples, we will talk about how we can play a role in the lives of others and help to facilitate posttraumatic growth for others.

The Barbara Gay Lecture is an annual event that encourages the collaboration of mental health and schools to improve the lives of children and families that we serve.
