Tapping out of Trauma Trainings presents our free biannual presentation with world leading experts in the field of trauma informed care. Diane Poole Heller PhD is an internationally recognized speaker, author and expert in the field of attachment theory and trauma resolution. Dr. Heller began working with Dr. Peter Levine, founder of Somatic Experiencing Institute (SEI). As Senior Faculty for SEI, she taught Somatic Experiencing trauma work internationally for over 25 years. She currently directs Trauma Solutions, an organization that trains psychotherapists. Her signature approach, DARe (Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning experience) provides therapists and individuals with relevant skills and practical exercises that facilitate healing from attachment and trauma wounds.

In this interview we explore with Dr. Diane Poole Heller a wide variety of topics: better understanding of client attachment styles, the impact of early life experiences on individuals, the role of attachment in accessing resiliency and the achievement of healthy adult relationships. For EFT and Energy Psychology practitioners, this interview will offer you a deeper look and keen insights into understanding what attachment styles your clients have and assist you in being a more effective practitioner. It will give you practical options and guidelines for a therapeutic timeline a client may require for their healing journey.

Here are some of the key inquiries we will explore:

  • What attachment theory is and its importance for individuals in understanding themselves and for practitioners to understand their clients.
  • The importance of Attachment Theory in healing trauma.
  • The power of accessing body sensations and emotions as a “felt sense” exploration.
  • Misconceptions that many have about what secure attachment is and isn’t.
  • Defining the 4 attachment styles.
  • Building better relationships and relational healing by working on our own attachment issues.
  • Observations and inquiries to discover each attachment style.
  • Exercises for noticing childhood patterns and where they might show up in adult relationships.
  • Learning what clients can do on their own and when they may require professional assistance.
  • The importance of the primacy of safety and connection, in infancy, in adult relationships and especially in therapeutic relationships.

Please join us as we are blessed to have this very special guest expert! All registrants will have access to the webinar recording for a 2 week period after the broadcast. This event is brought to you by Tapping out of Trauma trainings. Our biannual Tapping out of Trauma 1.0 foundational training begins Sept. 3.
