The Impact of AGEISM on Physical & Emotional Health: An Online Book Study & Discussion Group

Ageism is said to be "the last acceptable prejudice" and a prejudice "against our future selves."  Studies show that ageism in all its forms harms our physical and emotional well-being and can shorten our lives.  Whether from the youth-oriented culture, the neighborhood shop clerk, or from our own internalized struggle with aging, this is an issue we must address with knowledge, compassion, and awareness so we can stop traumatizing ourselves and others, and depriving society of our beautiful uniqueness.

Please join Lisa Kendall Consulting and the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center at the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute for an in-depth study and discussion series on ageism, featuring Ashton Applewhite's groundbreaking book, "This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism."

Registration is open now, and we start with the Introductory chapter on 1/24/22, with the first live discussion scheduled for Friday, 1/28 at 11 a.m. eastern time (via Zoom).

*Through April 22, 2022
