PACEs Connection hacking incident

Hello you wonderful members. Our deepest apologies for those of you who saw and were concerned about the 30 irrelevant posts about sports on Saturday, and 30 on Sunday. Thanks to three members who let us know about these spammers: @Rebecca Lewis-Pankratz in Kansas, @Simon Partridge in England, and @Laure T. Mulrooney in Florida. We appreciate you and your patience!

These blogs were supposedly posted by members. We know now they were people who enjoy spamming and who created profiles that looked real. There were some indications that, in hindsight, they weren't actually people who wanted to become members of PACEs Connection to learn about and participate in the PACEs science movement.

We are investigating how this occurred to reduce the likelihood of this ever happening again. We are also working with the people who support our Crowdstack platform to  tighten up our screening procedures.

Our pledge has always been to make PACEs Connection a safe place and a trusted source. This weekend, we were challenged on that pledge, and we'll do what we must to prevent the abuse that occurred this past weekend from happening again.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.
