Earn a Professional Certificate in Creating Trauma Informed Resilient Schools from Emory & Henry College

Are you looking to earn CEUs this summer? Check out a newly released Creating Trauma Informed Resilient Focused Schools - A Toolkit for School Professionals from Emory & Henry College. With this Professional Certificate you earn 15 CEUs while watching 8 modules (from your treadmill if you’d like πŸ˜‰) that cover everything from understanding trauma/ACEs and resilience, practical classroom strategies, creating healing environments, regulate, relate and reason, workplace wellness, addressing race and trauma, involving all school staff including SRO’s, and creating sustainable change. Filmed before a live audience of educators a real treat is In the last module you’ll hear the story from Dr. Dennis Carter, Superintendent of Smyth Co VA Schools and how we partnered together since 2019 to implement these concepts over his entire district with 16 facilities.

The cost is $200 and once you enroll in the certificate program you have 90 days to complete it.  There are no exams only knowledge checks and reflections along the way to help you make classroom application.

To learn more you can read an interview Dr. Sandy Frederick, Director of the Neff Center for Teacher Education at Emory & Henry College and I did earlier this year.  Also my good friend Mathew Portell of PACEs Connection recently had us on this Trauma Informed Educators Network podcast to talk about the certificate.
