DOWNLOAD: THE RESILIENCE TREE

Community resilience is much more than the absence of adversity. As we have demonstrated in our work at the Center for Community Resilience-- equitable access to trauma-informed systems and supports that help children and families prevent adversity, heal from trauma and most importantly provide a foundation from which a community thrive is what resilience looks like!

As an 'antidote' to our Pair of ACEs tree, we unveiled our latest resource The Resilience Tree. Much like the Pair of ACEs tree, the Resilience Tree helps communities and cross-sector partners create a shared vision, establish accountability and begin to develop measures of success. Creating a vision of the resources and supports that will produce positive childhood experiences from a strengths based perspective is at the heart of our work at the Center for Community Resilience.

We partnered with Dr. Bob Sege to pair the Resilience Tree with the HOPE framework. Together we believe that the Resilience Tree with the HOPE framework will help partners articulate the building blocks of positive childhood experiences -- stable relationships, safe environments, promote civic engagement, and emotional growth.

Last week's webinar and the tool are now available for download on our website. Watch the webinar with guidance from our community partners at  Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Martha's Table who share how resilience framing helped them set goals, establish accountability and measure progress in supporting positive experiences for children and families. Download the tool to spark a resilience movement in your community!
